SPRING ON, AFRICA!

Spring on, Africa, like a gazelle!
And shower your rain on your children
Survivor of the struggles
the hatched marks on your skin tells
Oh how you suffered and cried
From the plagues they inflicted on you
They, Vultures, eating the living
They stole your treasury, your heritage
It is there in their museums
Those pretenders, villains
But here you are
serene and gentle
fresh like the dew
hot like Tatashe
But here you are
radiant, beautiful, shinning Star,
flowery Rose, golden Egg
Despite your tortured state
Despite your sleepness nights
You overcame, you outshined
You remain more precious
Surpassing hid treasures
As you continue this journey
As you continue this race
Spring on, Africa, like a gazelle!
